I have not been posting as many blog posts.

Well I am here today to show a 

card I used

 and cut on the zing

For this card I used the santa bug from alota 

andcut the base of the card with zing after 

Designed in MAKE THE CUT

Clear ornament

Yesterday I showed an ornament that I 

made for the alota challenge . Today I am here

to show how i got it made.

A while back I showed a fantastic extension that i found

for inkscape to make tabbed boxes HERE.

Well it started me thinking maybe i can make 

the boxes the same way but with card stock (but 

I would have to do some tweaking )

then I made this white boxes 

All put together with NO GLUE 

hmm got me thinking  NO GLUING  that is 

perfect for clear acetate as  that is not an easy 

thing to glue. 

So with that same pattern that I had tweaked 

(adding the extra little part on each tab so that they 

lock together and not pull apart easily)

I cut it out of clear over heat projector plastic 

and then put it together  (little testing being clear but 

I did it  ) designed in inkscape and Designed in MAKE THE CUT to tweak

and cut on the ZING. Added white paint pent for the snow.

Challenge #96 Christmas Ornaments

 It's December which means Christmas

 is only a matter of weeks away! 

So for the Alota  challenge this time round

 we are focusing on Christmas Ornaments …. 

Create something Christmas Ornament related it can be a card or a 3 D project

 All you have to do is create your card and upload it to

 your blog and/or to your online Gallery using the keyword Alota96.

 Don't forget to go to the ALOTA BLOG  and link it on Inlinkz so that

 everyone else can see it too.

This time I used an alota rubber stamp to decorate it,

as well as putting two of the same bugs on the inside of 

the card on a popup mechanism so that when the 

card is folded  they are tucked in behind the wording 

and when card opens they come out and sit out 

from the edges of the card.

  The wording on the front was the left over 

from when i cut the inside letters .

The KISS

Here is a card made using Alota rubber stamps 

and mtc/zing

A little pop of fun Christmas

Wanted to give this owl something fun to look at so 

I thought i would make a popup card with the 

new owl stamps and the presents stamp
 Designed in MAKE THE CUT

Hearts an easel

Soon as i seen these . first thing I thought 

of was a shaped easel card  so then i had to think 

of which stamps to use on it  

After stamping the Owl new owl stamps on the heart front I then 

found that it looked wrong there so i restamped 

the sides of the heart with parts of the branches 

so as it  made it look more finished and not just 

a little stamp in the middle of the card .

cut the 2012 heart and base of the card out 

using
 MAKE THE CUT  and zing.

Hanging in there

It is fun to learn new things and even if you don't get

them looking 100% right just don't tell anyone and 

they will not know.

Making things colourful for christmas

Teaching myself that rubber stamps can work well 

with the mtc and zing is a really fun adventure 

at the moment .

I always loved the stencil edge cards and I 

wondered how i can adapt it to a stamped image 

and as you can see I did it . As well as adding 

some lattice work in the main part of the card to make 

it different again .
