Spirograph and Drawing faces 001

It has been fun not to think as spirograph
as a "kids toy" as it is for all ages .
If your child has one you should go get it and
have a go of it, it is soo much fun.
This is a Spirograph and learning to draw face .
In the them of blue!

Peaking through to steampunk

Here is one steampunk picture that is mixed media.
Gell press printing , hand drawn, texture paste, die cuts
embossing and layered paper.

to look metalic

Here you can get an idea of the size the pattern is now

3D Hot air balloon Steampunked WITH robot

Then came a Steampunked Hot air balloon with
steampunked Robot to ride in it
After designing in Make the cut , cutting it and making
it up I then took all the scraps of black card stock i had
left over from the cutting and ran it through the ebosser
using as many Steampunk like embossing folders i could
find in my collection. And added to the balloon over lapping
and random as i could get them . Then I put sliver acrylic paint
on my finger and lightly went over all the raised areas .

Felt it also needed a gear boarder around it which i
made with Make the cut and  cut 6 layers to give it demention

Robot was designed in make the cut as well by me

3D Steampunk airship ONE

This years festival was to be airships.
So back late last year i set to making a pattern for
an air ship small but to see I was on the right track
of making it .
Before cutting in using the brown card stock i had i
grabbed a orange (that i knew i would not miss if it
did not work)
Cut it out went together so  well I was soo pleased
with it that I added trims onto it to get the thickness
look that i was after I layered 6 of the same gears
on top of each other . Did some quilled card stock to
add other trims
It was all about building up the look till I was soo
happy with it (but had done all this work and it is
ORANGE!)
Added the pipe work at the back shapping the pipe
pieces as i glued them together .

So once it was all done I was in love with it that I
then took brown acrylic paint and gave it two coats of
it. After it was dry I used some gold and sliver acrylic
paint on my fingers and used it to highlight the raised
areas.
And sat alongside the small train set at the festival

Say it with flags

Also with the art dolls I made parts for the
communication hunt at the festival .

To stand tall

Steampunk  Festival went really really well
this steampunk man stood tall over the small trainset
in our room at the Steampunk Tasmania Festival
I brought some 8inch artist dolls and painted them with
black gesso. then i added metallic paint. Cut a card stock 3D
steampunk hat and then used make the cut and made a pair of wings
(for the wings i cut 6 layers to give it thickness)
