Like Toy Soldiers

Having seen the SVGCUTS nutcracker 

I wanted that pattern straight away 

but not to make a nutcracker but a 

Toy Soldiers.

I had soo much fun making  this 

THAT I then made 4 more .

Platform POP UP card as demoed on 4th/5th December 2012 MTC Webinar

Yesterday I demoed this Platform Pop UP card 

in the make the cut webinar  4/5 December 2012

I showed that if the words you want a little at 

the top down to biggest at bottom  you can 

make them all on platforms to pop up 

when the card is opened at 90*.

HERE IS THE "From Susan"  

I used the  a font that i used make the cut to 

turn into a cut file and cut on the ZING

Used the Ebosser to emboss the background

Then when it came time to send my Christmas cards

this year My husband and sons name were not on the 

card so i cut them out of the background card and glued on

Snowman Whats's NEW?

I like it when i can start showing you what I have 

been working on the past couple months , but been waiting for 

the time when they are starting to be given to people.

This snowman box is from svgcutz. I cut it bigger than

the size the pattern came as . I added a full 

bag of marshmellows in this one .

Designed in MAKE THE CUT  and the zing to cut .

I embossed the outer pieces on the ebosser

Have had fun with this pattern will show more another time

real soon, even some for myself :-)

Magic The Gathering (3D book/card)

OK! What does it take for me to feel old?

The thought that my son turns 21 today.
( guess if i looked on my birth certificate I would 
know too ) 

 He and his friends are all into playing 

magic the gathering at the moment.

So I set out to make him a 3D book/card

with that theme. here it is .

Even managed to find magic the gathering font 

to do the words inside the card

Used Make the cut and zing to cut and the background 

was embossed on the ebosser

Clear ornament

Yesterday I showed an ornament that I 

made for the alota challenge . Today I am here

to show how i got it made.

A while back I showed a fantastic extension that i found

for inkscape to make tabbed boxes HERE.

Well it started me thinking maybe i can make 

the boxes the same way but with card stock (but 

I would have to do some tweaking )

then I made this white boxes 

All put together with NO GLUE 

hmm got me thinking  NO GLUING  that is 

perfect for clear acetate as  that is not an easy 

thing to glue. 

So with that same pattern that I had tweaked 

(adding the extra little part on each tab so that they 

lock together and not pull apart easily)

I cut it out of clear over heat projector plastic 

and then put it together  (little testing being clear but 

I did it  ) designed in inkscape and Designed in MAKE THE CUT to tweak

and cut on the ZING. Added white paint pent for the snow.

Challenge #96 Christmas Ornaments

 It's December which means Christmas

 is only a matter of weeks away! 

So for the Alota  challenge this time round

 we are focusing on Christmas Ornaments …. 

Create something Christmas Ornament related it can be a card or a 3 D project

 All you have to do is create your card and upload it to

 your blog and/or to your online Gallery using the keyword Alota96.

 Don't forget to go to the ALOTA BLOG  and link it on Inlinkz so that

 everyone else can see it too.

Bauble Box in MAKE THE CUT

Yesterday there was a request for this bauble box pattern 

in make the cut over on the forum and I thought it would be a fun

thing for me to make so here is mine

Keep the base parts seperate so you know to put them

on the base

I ran my layer pieces through the Ebosser 

Here all the layers are put on
