Box it Up Alota challenge

It is that time again when we start a new Challenge. This time it is Themed "Box it Up"
This is a fun chellange where you have lots of things you can do,it can be a card or a box as log as it has the theme of box in it somewhere. After you have created your project, put it on blog or n gallery  , tag it with ALOTA87 and go to alota blog here and link it in LINKY. For your chance to win

You can enter as many times as you like . You have to the 31st July to enter.

It was my turn to pick this topic and knowing how many box patterns i have cartridges, collected over the many years on web, templates , cd's ect . Thinking at the time i would pick on of them to use. AND DID I ?
NO I had in mind what i wanted to do  I wanted to make a honey jar shaped box and none of the patterns i had suited that so the other night I sat at make the cut and made this box/jar pattern so happy with how it turned out.

Q. When is a Vase not a Vase (or a tree)?

I have been playing with the stencils of 3D greek vases from Some assembly Required again.
This time I used the
Vase Number 4, but once again  did not look at it as a vase.
You can also see the vase 1 blog entry  HERE and HERE and HERE

A. When it is a Toad stool.
I turned the vase 4 upside down and cut the base off and added red to the top part and then i used copic white paint to add the dots

(which i stamped twice and made the clothes 3D with padded tape)

Into GIMP (photo editor paint program)
Into Inkscape
Into Make the CUT
Into the ZING to draw
OK let me say  this is my first time at this and
I don't know if using 5 programs was the

3D Greek Vase sliceform from Some Assembly Required

Over the many years of doing papercrafts, one thing that I love is sliceforms and one company that I love now and always have is Some Assembly Required (SAR). They have a huge variety of  3D shapes , one of my first ever purchases was there egg shape and I used to have soo much fun making that simple egg shape into animals , which even inspired a book of egganimals
Well now there latest creations are 3D Greek Vases (5 in total) , they are soo much fun as you will see in the days and weeks to come . Today I took there vase 01 and made this vase cutting vase out and then running through the cuttlebug to give it texture , BUT then to make it really pop I then got a sepia inkpad and wiped it over the top of the embossed area , then i put the vase together.

I am off to make some more things using these.

Week 20 adventure 7 peice card set

Week 20 adventure with the Zing/make the cut/ **inkscape.
(**not new to me been using for many years)
Well this sure has opened up a whole new world in papercraft.
Where has the past 20 weeks gone (not finding the "off" button to the Zing that is for sure)
Finding myself wanting to do bigger and better things in the world of papercrafting
One of which is designing fonts again , which by the way I will  have another set of fonts to share shortly just need a bit of tweaking. Also finding easier ways to make backgrounds for my cards ,some  I am showing today  with this set of cards.
Designed in inkscape and Make the cut combined  and cut using the zing. then two stamps (big and small) are from alota rubber stamps.
These first two cards are using the cut outs from the other 5 cards

Now I find myself using the zing on a daily base. I have decided to leave the weekly adventure reports  and just continue to show my Zing creations as i make them all week long  (as well as other things not made on the Zing).
Please come back often and see what i have been up too  and got to share with you all (there will be lots more to come) . P.S. Let me know what you think from time to time I love to hear from you too .
