I am learning how to use a free program called 

Krita having soo much fun with it .

Koalas

Sweet Pea has this wonderful Koala

embroidery pattern with money

from sales going to

WIRES for Koalas caught up

in the fires in Australia this

summer.

I made into a bag.

Which then took It to a morning tea

fundraiser for the fire relief.

It was auctioned and sold for

$70

This sad and sorry bear came from second hand shop

last time I was there

The following day he was stripped bear.

And added stuffing and wadding ti make him a 

nice plump bear

Now it was time to dress him smartly

Now the vest needed something what was it 

OH I know some gears

With a nice steampunk hat and goggles

All dressed up now needs an outing !

Robot quilt I have just made

The Good, bad and the Ugly

I decided in this post I would show all

the sketches that I had done in my journal 

since Christmas. I am learning through books

and YouTube's.

Some I am very happy with, but there are a few

that are ugly! 

Ted The Teddy steampunk (Lord Talbot Brassbearington)

Meet "Lord Talbot Brassbearington"
I made this for last years art show . Then I did not show 

it in here as I was going  to put it in the Just Steampunk 

magazine, but as it is no longer publishing the magazine 

any more, I can show it here.

The teddy pattern is from SVG Stamp ATTIC.

And I gave it a steampunk look .

Inspired by Cyndy G's teddy.

Drew the girl on water colour card stock and 

Painted it with watercolour pencil, then cut her out. 

I then drew hat and goggles , coloured and cut. 

The background was made first using the gel

press and acrylic paint then lots of home made stencils.

The airship was a die cut.

Owls Owls and Yes OWLS!

Happy new year to you all .

I have been back working on learning things again 

I really want to get good  at the embrilliance 

machine embroidery software.

This week I took a set of owl clip art of the 

internet and spent time on the software turning 

them into sewing designs.

When i started stitching them I thought it would be nice

to add a little fabric as a raw edge applique.

I have got 6 of these to sew and i am not sure if 

it is going to end up to be a bag or a mini quilt .
