What is the age you have to grow up ?
Each year "at this time" I think of the answer to this
question . The answer each year is maybe NEXT year!
When it came time to do the project for the
"Brick People Blog Hop"
I thought hey if i combine both the Scrap factory and the
Scrappy Dew image sets.
HERE is the POP UP book
(using Popup card studio and Make the Cut to design the book)
Embossed the background to give the effect
of Brick base plates
And then it comes to what I would be if I was grown up
(you should have guessed there would have been a robot in the
book somewhere)
Took the robot of the shelf to get my robot right .
( OK that book made now I have decided that
no matter how old I get I don't want to grow up
BUT I will still be a ROBOT )
************
If you own the Brick expansion pack the Robot body
will be added to that as this blog hop goes to air
enjoy FREE

Then cause while i was cutting everything out for the book
I cut double the amount of everything .
I had a full set of Brick people left over so here is what I did
I went to the lego box (or Neal did) and got some blocks out
With that sitting beside me I set to work making a box lid
(really the box was going to be just the one block
but the box would have to be huge to fit the brick people in)
so I made the base of the box twice as high to fit the yellow lid over
it
Look like the same only way bigger
cut the wording 4 times and layered it to give an
embossed effect.
Now the lid slides off and the sides fall down (only
half way though )
Used the brick playing boy and girl to add weight
for the sides of the box to fall down and on the ends i
added bricks
made two shelfs in the box to glue the people too
And added more and more bricks to cover the shelves

ReplyDeleteYour pop up book is very clever and beautifully made. Very fitting (and great memorabilia) for some one who grows up playing Lego People. From the pictures it looks like you paper pieced and also use print and cut. Very nice.
