I'm a newbie to cricut, DS,Inkscape and SCAL but I am hooked! I love your designs! So cute! Your tutorials have been a great help to me. I have learned so much! Thank you, Susan!
Thank you for figuring out how to do so much in inkscape and SCAl and then teaching us how to do it without all the trial and error that comes with learning. I sure do appreciate it.
They say you learn something new every day and I have today. Thanks for that tip about the nodes, I wasn't aware of it and had been deleting nodes one at a time taking quite a while sometimes. This will make it a lot quicker.
Question: When doing Control L (to simplify, how do you know when you have removed nodes but still maintain the image quality?
I have images I've drawn that have a million (not really but tons) of nodes and I need to remove some...I don't want, though, the image quality to suffer when I cut it out.
(Thank you for your blog -it's amazing and your tips are soooo appreciated!)
Thank you for this! I finally got brave enough to try! SOmeone helped me get the clip art to inkscape and your clean up tutorial made a world of difference in how it cut! I am not intimidated by inkscape anymore!!!!

ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to address all your subscribers to your newsletter to reprimand them for not leaving thank you notes.
You have done more than anyone I know in helping people learn SCAL and CDS.
Maybe one day you could just send your newsletter with nothing in it but the words
NO THANK YOUS, no instructions or cutting files ; (
I want to thank you for all your knowledge that you have so generously given to everyone and to me.
